A wine (or scotch) tasting gives people the rare opportunity to compare and contrast wines with one another. Everyone will learn a lot about wine, including their own preferences.
Begin your tasting adventure in the stunning Parlor! The evening's first selection is located on top of the custom built-in leaded glass bookshelves. This tasting will feature a single wine (or scotch) from 2 regions, such as a Malbec from France and one from Argentina.
Help your guests to identify specific flavors unique to the beverage selection, such as notes of chocolate, or smoke.
If you like, include a small card and pencils where guests can record their impressions of each tasting.
The second tasting of the evening will feature a single wine, or scotch, from the same region by different producers. Serve your guests from the cozy Solarium with 180 degree views of the neighborhood.
As you move into the Formal Dining Room for the final tasting of the evening, notice the exquisite chandelier and hand painted medallion. On the table below are delightful canapes alongside tasting number three. This time, try a blind comparison of a cheap and expensive selection of the same variety, ie Chardonnay.
Encourage attendees to note their impressions before revealing which wine is which!
