The kitchen of this historic Dutch Colonial mansion has been dramatically altered over the course of time. Remodeled many times, much of its original details have been removed, including building a wall over the bay window and adding a drop ceiling. A complete renovation would give the kitchen much needed light and airiness, while maintaining its original character.
The mansion's spacious attic is ripe for improvement. With some careful thought, it could be transformed into a multi-room suite with interesting architectural detail.
This historic mansion includes a large basement currently separated into multiple walled spaces. It would make an ideal space for an East Sioux Falls Quarry Company museum. Imagine touring this unique space with large vintage photographs on the stone walls, artifacts from the time period, and rich historic details in each room!

Contains cracked windows that need replacement too.

This home is in need of many necessary kitchen renovations including ceiling repair, updated appliances, and new flooring. The walls will be painted in a time period appropriate color, and new lighting will be installed. The unique pantry element will be preserved and highlighted.
The attic will need to be entirely gutted and restored to make the space safe, usable, and energy efficient.
The basement's stone walls need to be maintained and the stairs fixed and upgraded. The space will be converted into a vintage parlor, reminiscent of a basement speakeasy complete with separate exterior entrance.
During this phase we will be overhauling the landscaping with patio spaces, updated fencing, and improved turf. The outdoor pond will be restored, and a landscape designer will create and implement a plan that showcases the architecture of both properties.
